Pearl Specialised Dementia Service (Castlegreen Care Home)

Castlegreen is a purpose built home, providing nursing care for frail, older people and people with dementia.

All of our rooms are for single occupancy with en-suite facilities.

The home is located in the Craigmillar area, within easy reach of shops and other amenities, public transport and the main Edinburgh road network.

Four Seasons Health Care and Edinburgh Council are working in partnership to provide high quality care.

Location

South on A720 Edinburgh City Bypass, turn left at Lasswade junction. Then, turn right at Gilmerton Station Road and eventually turn left into Drum Street.

Turn right into Ferniehill Drive and left into Old Dalkeith Road. Pass the New Royal Infirmary and turn right into Craigmillar Castle Road.

At the traffic lights turn right onto Niddrie Mains Road, take the fifth road on the right into Greendykes Road and the home is 150 metres on the left hand side.

Facilities

The Pearl Specialised Dementia Service is a purpose designed facility in which every detail has been researched to ensure we achieve an environment that will enable the residents to maintain the highest possible level of independence and freedom of choice.

The lounge area is tastefully decorated and furnished, offering a variety of seating areas for the residents. The reminiscence lounge offers a quieter, more relaxed atmosphere and is designed to offer the residents an opportunity to discuss past life events. There are more seating areas around the home.
